How are these cars, I mean I love the W124 chassis, I found a guy who wants to trade me for my car, I'm asking $4000 for my car, I'm still waiting for pics from the guy he's going to send them tonight. These are the specifications:
1987 300D, W124 body, 6 cyl. 212,000 miles. Just passed an SAAQ Inspection.

Recent Repairs:

Front discs/pads
Steering Box
Handbrake cables
Headlamp Bulb
Clean out intake system and replace cracked lines
All filters replaced (Diesel, Oil, Air, Power steering)
Rear Shocks
Body repairs (no bondo, bought used parts and welded them in)

It still needs:
Probably an engine mount
Rear windows inop
Alignment
Wheel balancing
Front discs? Don't know what's wrong - ticking noise when braking

The Story:

I bought the car from the USA with the intention of it being my everyday
car. I had someone to buy my 04 Civic, but the deal fell through and I
found an 02 Golf Tdi with I bought instead (and traded the civic for
it). So then I was stuck with 3 cars (I also have a Ranger). The pickup
and the Benz have been at my parents place - but since I bought the TDi,
I really have no intention of driving the Benz. I have spent countless
hours on it.

How does it sound? Should I steer away? Should I ask him for money on top of it or is it worth $4000? Thanks.
