help with sub set up

here is the problem I have a sub 12inch phonix gold 300w
I have a alpine mrh-t305 100w bridged
will the sound be ok?&? I just want a bit of bass or better get an amp? I'm a dam newbie in car audio any good sites to start with? thx

this should sound fine, although I don't like underpowering my subs. This could cause problems down the line. When you drive the amp into clipping, the sub is getting a clipped signal, and may run into problems. Although if you just want a little more sound you should be fine, just don't crank it too hard untill you can get an amp that can fully power the sub.
