Need some help on games to buy, have $500 Fairview gift card

So I turned 22 a few days ago, dad hooked me up with a gift card for Fairview and I've got $500 to spend in any store... was thinking of buying some games, have enough clothes. I have a PS3 by the way.

Any suggestions? Not down for any FPS games, CoD is enough... I like RPG/Adventure alot though. (Have Skyrim already)

Anyone here have the new Final Fantasy or any other good games similar? If so how do you like it?
 
Buy FFXIII and FFXIII-2, Dark Souls, Ico/Shadow of the Colossus HD COllection. The Uncharted Serie, etc...

I heard FFIII was shit apparently with too many cut scenes? Do I need to play that to really understand III-2?

I haven't played FFXIII-2. FFXIII was ok. Not the best in the serie tho. Still a very good game with good story if you like the FF genre. I think it can be bought for 30$ so buy it, when you're done with it, pick FFXIII-2 (otherwise you'll be lost in the story) when it will drop in price.

Also, Dragon's Dogma is coming out shortly. There is a demo on the PSN, didn't try it myself but it looks like a mix of Dark Souls (ARPG).
