i5 vs fx vs phenom

Puisque j'ai upgrader mes gpu à des gtx 660ti, qui est équivalent à gtx 780 sur du 1080p, j'aimerais peut etre changer mon cpu pour quelque chose de plus récent.

Je roule déjà une MB en am3 avec le dernier chipset 990fx et en plus elle oc vraiment bien ! Une gigabyte 990fxa-ud3.

Ma question est la suivante : si je vais Intel je dois changer ma mb + cpu sa va coûter plus cher. Si je reste avec amd j'hésite entre garder mon phenom ou le fx 6300 ou le fx 8320. C'est quoi donc la différence de performance entre un i5 un 6300oc à 4.5 ou un 8320 oc à 4.5 dans les jeux ? Je ne fais que jouer, de l'Internet et des travaux d'école.

Le i5 est plus performant dans les programmes dit ''graphiques'' (gaming). Certains sont équipés de puces GPU, ce qui aide quand un jeu demande beaucoup de ressources graphiques. Aussi les Fx hauts en coeurs (6 et 8) sont plus axées sur le multitasking donc sont moins performant en gaming qu'un i5 mais seraient plus performants pour des render vidéo/photos. Encore la avec les i7 ça reste à débattre. Aussi je suis pas sur, mais il me semble que les i5 consomment moins que les Fx.

En gros les AMD Fx font l'affaire mais avec un i5 tu va avoir de meilleures performances et de meilleurs FPS quand tu va gamer.

Il reste juste à vérifier coté budget ce qui te convient le mieux

First off, clock speed is just one part of the argument, you gotta take into account different architectures (a first gen i7 OC'd to 4GHZ won't come anywhere near the performance of a 4th gen i7 at 4hz) I guess you can use the analogy of two cars having 200hp, but their performance can be day and night difference because of other factors like weight and such. Long story short, don't pay a great deal of attention to clock speeds being a direct performance number.

Secondly, you're generalizing an i5, there's 4 generations of i5 cpu's and various tiers of performance within each (comparatively just like saying an A6 or an A8 AMD)


Let's assume an i5, for the sake of this argument we'll assume the newest gen, a Haswell 4670/4670k

The i5 will easily outperform the AMD counterpart, but is it worth paying 2x as much for the CPU and an entire mobo? Personally i'd recommend just sticking to the 6300, you'll save yourself like 350$ and the difference in performance really isn't worth putting the money into imho. Wait till next year if you really feel like the performance is lackluster.

Un ami macheterais mon kit phenom pour 150$

Je pense etre capable d'avoir un kit i5 3570k + z77x ud3h pour 300$

Un fx 8320 couterais 150$.

Donc 150$ pour mon kit + 150$ pour le fx sa donne le prix du Intel.

Rendu là sa vaut tu la peine ? Le socket 1155 est fini et même le 1150 aura pas d'autre uppdate tandis que le am3+ aura steamroller lan prochain.

Vous en pensez quoi ?

To be really honest, there's not a huge difference in terms of performance between an FX 6300 and an FX 8320, you shouldn't really have a huge issue in performance with a 6300 and two gtx660ti's, do you right now feel like it's slow?

Personally I wouldn't be upgrading at this point, like I said in another thread, DDR4 memory is set to be released soon, meaning that motherboards are gonna change as well, so if you wanna upgrade at the right time, it would be next year.

This stands for I5 3570k too ?

I should hold on my phenom till next year for better tech ?

Actually I have a phenom x4 at 4.1 just so you know what I have to compare to

j'ai acheté un kit m5a99x + 8320

je vend la carte mère et mon phenom à mon ami

je garde ma carte mere gigabyte et je me ramasse avec un 8320.

je me suis faite batté.

le site était tellement slow, sa m'a pris 4 heures être capable d'ajouter tout ce que je voulais. quand je suis arrivé pour acheter, le deal sur la carte mère + 8320 était sold out.

je check pour voir si sa vaut la peine de ramasser un kit 3570k.

le cpu est 200$ pis une bonne carte mère dans le 140$ ou un combo deal p8z77v lk + 3570k pour 300$ après MIR.

Le 8320 est très bon !!! Moi je le roule à 4.5ghz, pour le prix c'est aussi bon qu'un i5 sinon mieu, rien avoir avec les phenoms

Ouais je suis d'accord ! J'aimerais sa rester en amd mais ya pas de deal qui vaut la peine présentement.

Sauf peut etre à 135$ sur newegg, avec taxe et shipping sa remonte à 150$. Faudrait je vende mon x4 50$.

J'ai ramasser un fx 8320 pour 150$ tous frais inclu !

Très hate d'installer sa !
