my windshield washer pump has stopped working, it no longer squirts.

i took the pump of and when i connect it to a 12volt battery the pump works, so it has to be something else in the system that isnt working. my chilton manual has nothing written at all about it.

i was wondering if anyone knows what might be the problem.

your lines are prolly frozen. bring the car to an inside parking garage and let it thaw. shit happens.

i had thought of that, except when i got someone to listen to the pump, it doesnt seem to work at all when i use my lever on the stearing column,

Check fuse....if it's not it..then you need to troubleshoot it! (Multi-Meter + Nissan FSM)

wasnt a fuse because everything else was working fine,

we checked (my dad and i) the voltage at the connector and it was only 7 volts

we plugged it into the pump and it didnt work, then we broke the connector (by accident) and checked the voltage of the wires, 12 VOLTS!!!!

yay, problem solved, the ****ing connector was bad!
