This car belongs to the owner of DUPRAY Industries, a BIG name in the detailing world. They are well known for their steam cleaners and are a very big ticket in both Canada and the US, and their head office is right here in Montreal. I was contacted because I am local and I "have a good reputation on the [other, detailing] forum." The owner wanted to have his car taken care of in and out and prepped for winter, so we went with my Bronze Package, since we'll be polishing it in spring. On to the write-up!
Products used:
Washing
Sunlight + Zep's Citrus Degreaser
AutoGlym Custom Wheel Cleaner
Various wash mitts, sponges and brushes
Stoner's Invisible Glass
Riccardo Blue Clay
Elegance Waterless Wash
Elegance Clay Lube
Chemical Guys Diablo Wheel Cleaner
Iron-X
Optimum Metal Polish (Exhaust)
Protection
Collinite #845
Sonax Carnuba Wax
Wolf's Body Wrap (wheels)
303 Aerospace Protectant
Poorboy's World Bold 'N Bright
As it arrived.
As usual, I started with the wheels.
The wheels were cleaned with Chemical Guys Diablo Wheel Cleaner and 2 brushes: a small detail brush for the small areas and bolt holes, and the EZ detail brush for the inside of the spokes and barrels. Tires were cleaned with a stiff Vinyl-bristled brush and AutoGlym Custom Wheel Cleaner.
Wheels were sealed with Wolf's Chemicals Body Wrap for long-lasting protection and ease of cleaning. Tires were dressed with Poorboy's World Bold 'N Bright Tire Gel.
Then the car was rinsed...
...and washed for the first time, using the 2-bucket method.
Once the paint was cleaned, I used a gentle car soap and boars hair brush to clean the canvas top.
After the iron decontamination, I clayed the car. There really wasn't much to be found. This is after doing the whole car.
A final wash.
While the exterior was drying, I treated the interior with 303 Aerospace Protectant.
After the wax was applied and buffed off, this is what it looked like inside the garage.
And a few outdoor shots, although it was getting dark.
As always, thanks for looking and happy detailing!
