Need help - simple electronics question

Very simple question. I bought a C14 panel mount connector:



Need to connect that to a power bar, with an on/off switch between the connector and the power bar.

Question: Does the switch cut the white or black wire?

As long as it's the live wire color doesn't matter. Don't switch the neutral unless you want someone to go to ground and get electrocuted.
