A schoolboy who bravely tackled a knife-wielding pupil who was threatening a classmate was punished because such heroic actions are strictly banned.

Briar MacLean, 13, stepped in after he spotted an argument was quickly beginning to escalate between two boys at Sir John A. Macdonald school in Alberta, Canada.

Suddenly one of the boys pulled out a knife and began to threaten the other turning an scuffle into a potentially deadly situation.

The heroic teenager charged and tackled the knife-brandishing youngster into a wall sending both attacker and knife falling to the floor.

State-ism(or the idea of relying on "the state") is really not a matter of left or right. It's a matter of authoritarianism versus libertarianism. Right wing party are about just as strong into over policing us as left wing have recently.

There is very few party that strongly represent true self determinism in the political life now. It's ridiculous to put the blame on "lefties" for that considering how far "right" and "Authoritarian" we have diverge, all over the world.

But for his bravery the pupil received not a commendation but a stern telling off from staff for ignoring school rules.

According to the Calgary Board of Education, Briar should have left the scene to find a teacher - abandoning the unarmed student.

He is still right, it's not a matter of right or left.

It's a matter of the school system pussyfying kids so they ask less questions later, no matter where the government stands. This truth is universally understood wether right or left is concerned, it's all the same in the end. The government does not work for the people.
 
Seems that more and more apathy, fear of repercussion, etc are creating a generation where the good fear and are reprimanded for action of any kind.
 
It's a generation of kids who are being instructed that whenever a less-than-ideal situation presents itself, run to the authority to have it fixed for you. Do not attempt to solve problems by yourself.

If the kid ran to a teacher or something what do you think would've happened? Most teachers would've probably told another teacher to call the police then patiently watch the situation instead of physically stepping in and the incident would've stretched on and on, augmenting the chances of something really bad happening.

Sometimes, there is no time to call the authorities; action must be taken, as long as it does not jeopardise your own safety.

As for the main subject, it doesn't surprise me one bit. Our government and society made it so upstanding citizens can't protect themselves and those around them anymore. It's like they want us to be those little bitch, protectionless citizens who have to solely rely on something superior to protect and take care of them. which is in this case the police/teachers/government. But let's be honest here. The teachers wouldn't have done shit. Best case, they call the police, which would arrive sometimes later. By that time, the damage would've most likely been done.

You kill a burglar who entered your house at night? Most likely jail.
You stop an attack on someone else? Well, you're as bad as the guy who initated the attack. per the justice system.
You walk in the street and get attacked? You don't have a gun, so you either die or get injured. The police is obviously not there and by the time you get your cellphone out, you're stabbed or at the Heaven's gates.

Freaking disgusting. Would LOOOVE to punch those officials who've made the statement in theif fucking faces. Very frustrating to have people who don't believe in individual rights and fuck it... COMMON FUCKING SENSE?
 
The reaction of those teachers and principal is so mind blowingly stupid that I have a hard time making a sentence not cursing my brains out at those intellectually challenged cunts. Then again what was that little shitflinger doing with a knife in school and why is he not sitting at the police station getting ready to be hauled somewhere before going to court? Fcked up society
