What can I do with this gold?

Someone passed away in my family and I received 2 gold armbands (weight is 9gram total for both)
It's ingrave "18k sixstar".

It has no sentimental value to me. I received other stuff i want to keep but i'm wondering what is the best to do with this.

Sell as is or sell at those gold smelter?

Also... I was told it didnt worth much, maybe 200-250.

Sounds right?

Two rings my ex gave me I had melted down and made into items for my kids. I took my 2 rings one was $1,600 and the other $800 and a pawn shop offered $300 for both, tried to sell them in the paper and best offer was 30% of the value, a friend had a brother inlaw who worked at a jewelery store and had them melted and remade.
