elle me tente bcp !

I know you don't.

I was referring to your comment about Hyundai not having any roadsters in their lineup.

So you're assuming Hyundai has junk reliability because they have no roadsters in their lineup ? Rofl.

Sorry. Looks like I made the mistake of assuming you were smart enough to understand that the 124 Spider is a totally different car from any Hyundai past, present and probably future thus making your comparison totally ridiculous.

Both the 500s and any given Hyundai will require considerable effort to last the 20 years the Sidekick has lasted with only proper rust treatment and regular maintenance, cleaning and wax.

But hey, as I said before, if you want a reliable car you will have a boring car... you like boring? Good for you.

OK guys still with this fiat crap....seriously.

As for rwd the winter, I've had so many. Modern and older....just get a good set of tires and your set.

plus1

( OK, diff soudé donc 2wd all time ;) )

Yeah let's just all agree that FIAT is one of the worst car manufacturer in the world.

Land Rover is pretty good at this too.

Every time I see JDP reports I'm reminded of two things:

1) Their predecessor: Consumers Union and the conspiracy when FORD paid the off to discredit Suzuki because the Samurai and Sidekicks were outselling the Broncos.

2) The fact that in the 1990s we were used to having > 500 problems/100 vehicles sold with peaks at 800 so that ~200PVS is meh.

I'd be curious to know what those problems are statistically.

I know for a fact Cadillac's numbers went downhill in 2013 because of the "Cue" which I hope to never have to deal with, my CTS is the model/year prior so I'm still OK for that although it has millions of buttons on the center console which although executed with Cadillac elegance, are going to look dated real soon.

I'd also be interested in seeing the FIAT statistics. From the forums the biggest problems are the auto transmission and for some reason - of all things - the coolant thermostat. But they are NOT the most common. Consider that a loose sunvisor counts, in fact any problem reported to a dealer is going to statistically count. I'd love to see those stats.

@goldencoq - just so you can stop acting like a 12 year old - IF you can read beyond a 5th grade level here's some recommended reading:

If not here are some cliffs:

The 124 is actually built in Japan by Mazda, same factory as the MX-5. The use different suspension parts, different engine but the rest is identical, same transmissions - auto AND manual as the NC/ND MX5. The AC system is Mazda as well as all the electrical and electronics including the keyfob that looks exactly like the MX5s except it has a FIAT/Abarth logo depending on the trim level.

Then Mazda actually tweaked some of the engine parts and systems. Some parts surrounding the engine block, like electrical power steering are also Mazda.

For example, among other tweaks, they've added a turbo oil cooler pump that runs to circulate the oil for a few minutes after the engine is shut off if the temperature of the oil is too high to help cool it down.

They've also increased the battery capacity because of the above, the turbo oil pump is electrical.

Finally, Chrysler in last place is no suprise but what is surprising is how little models are left in their lineup. You have two Pacifica trims and the 300.

Being as my specific FIAT is a roadster and Hyundai's roadster is 404 not found I can see how that wouldn't work.

Besides: 10.000kms and one year in, only thing I did to the car was an oil change.
