about to booked a trip to mexico for august. will i be allowed to travel?

Yes, depending on where is opening but also beware that right now they are part of the places where covid hasn't peaked or is about to. When you come back you'll need to quarantine yourself for 14 days.

The 14 day thing will be gone by fall. There is huge pressure mounting on the gov. Approved countries will be allowed first obviously

I dont think its a good idea to travel right now, specialy when nothing is 100% open(activities etc) you wont enjoy your trip, its just a waste of money.

That and travel bans are getting extended, US cities ans states are shutting down again, Canada just extended the boarder closure / travel restrictions but to US essential workers like truck drivers..

Got a source for the Truck Drivers and Essential workers? There is nothing in the press release about that.

I saw it on CBC news today, they mentioned only US essential workers are allowed such at truck drivers, I assume many other essential workers are allowed, but no clue whats the exact criteria.

Then it will get extended again.. Trudeau is going to have to explain why if the EU is allowing Canadians in without 14 day quarantine why arent we being reciprocal. Oh yah USA has us by the balls.
