Tesla 3/Y major price drop

is the right way. Electric cars is another way to control us to stay in micro communities.

Yea all those hydrogen filling stations…. Meanwhile you just need a 120v outlet to charge an EV

Hydrogen has its own set of issues too. More so than EVs. Toyota is still hanging on because they don’t want to admit they bet wrong

For being very aware of whats going on in the industry and knowing the push they are making for it in BC for example, not gonna happen here for a long time and there are many challenges that are not about to be resolved anytime soon either, from a practical perspective and technological perspective.

I think it will happen at some point for large transport trucks, but consumer wise, nope, EV is the way to go.

I'll respond to you because I don't feel like feeding the troll. A lot of people have lost their minds and there's always this mentality of extremism that just boggles my mind. The world is so much more grey than black and white that these takes get depressing.

Seems BC is going the more truck and equipment route with hydrogen. Here too. Which in that case sorta makes sense.

Imo it only exists online behind a screen. In real life everyone I’ve spoke with has had more honest questions Vs crap spewing

Ça va ressembler à quoi les supercharger maintenant que plein de marques vont y avoir droit? En 2024+

Va en falloir une chiée de plus j'imagine

There is still lots of questions around the entire scheme.

Errr so this happened.

After visiting last time, crunching some numbers for me it just made sense. On top of that from the already slashed price of $59,990 to $54,990 and I purchased mine for $51,*** from the inventory.
As for the charging station, my townhouse unit only has 100amp panels so the electrician had to install a box to regulate it during peak time, especially winter.

Think grid stabilisation also. Easy to make hydrogen with "spare" electricity when the demand is low and use it to generate juice on demand after.

LOL. My buddy's trying to explain all the features and my head's spinning. Why the hell is there a 'fart' button? geez this car.
When a bunch of peon-bikers are parked in front of your royal e-carosse doing their biker things (aka getting ready to ride/leave), you can press it repeatedly from the comfort of your throne to insure they don't approach your e-highness.

Ask me how I know.

the end.

spend 50kwh to get roughly 30kwh of usable power in return. Needless to talk about storage and shipping issue. Hydrogen is pretty much a dead end and a waste of energy ressources.

It waaayyy to often seems like a mean for big brands to do some greenwashing while munching on government subsidies for research on "innovations".

Even no later then this year Mercedes came up with this Aaaaaaamaaazing new proposition for a car using compressed liquid hydrogen. Small cave-at, the liquid eventually returns to gaseous form without continuing super cooling and expends and must be vented out... seems like a good idea in a closed space.

Edit: The tanks empties itself in a matter of 12days if the car is not used...lol

Trains and trucks... maybe.

the end.

You need massive amounts of energy to create “green hydrogen” via electrolysis. at that point you are better off doing something more useful with the power. Otherwise you are making “blue hydrogen” off Natural Gas via steam reforming which defeats the purpose. Then you have to store, ship and store the product again.

It’s interesting yes but mind boggling complex. On par with fossil fuel production. Even EVs are more efficient than hydrogen. But hydrogen for things like Backhoes or dump trucks isn’t a bad idea

Nuclear fusion = plenty of electricity = plenty of hydrogen = no need for extrem mining and associated polution.

But we're not there yet.

to all my EV experts here:

So I've been looking for an EV daily for a while. It has to be a SUV or at least a crossover to fit the while family. I checked used model X's, they are all pretty high mileage and quite expensive and unreliable, especially the previous gen. A brand new model X would be a tad over budget. the XC40 recharge feels a little small, IX, EQS/EQE too expensive, Q4 etron have a long wait so I'm pretty settled on a new model Y.

But I just checked the market and the audi e-tron 2019-2022's (the now called Q8 etron) seem like pretty good deals. They can be had for 50-60k and have way better finish than Tesla. Range is around 350km, which is pretty bad but we never drive more than 100km a day. Charging curve is pretty good too and from what I've read, peole who own them love them. What do y'all think?

so you can make the car fart DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

i always press it when we're chilling in the driveway at the cottage for maximum lulz
