Vin Diesel has confirmed that “Furious 8” will hit theaters on April 14, 2017. The actor was speaking to theatre owners at Universal’s CinemaCon panel in Las Vegas today.
It was two years ago that Diesel and the late Paul Walker were on the same stage at Caesar’s Palace announcing plans for “Furious 7.”
“We were giddy and excited,” Diesel said. “You all gave me so much confidence. There was so much love.”
“Furious 7” is currently in theatres and after $1.15 billion in sales it has already reached No. 7 on the all-time highest-grossing films list.
