Motorcyclist Decides He’s Fed Up, Rips Past Tuning Roadblock at 200km/h

Correction: The bike pictured was not, in fact, the one involved in the incident.

As we reported earlier, Laval police have decided to try to discourage tuning enthusiasts from meeting at Patates 2000 on Autoroute 440 on Monday nights. Roadblocks are setup around all entrances to the parking lot and vehicles will illegal modifications are ticketed.

One motorcyclist allegedly got fed up with the whole thing and decided to take off. According to a member who witnessed the incident, a cyclist came to a full stop before accelerating past the police and reaching speeds of up to 200km/h. The witness wrote:

Guy on bike was on a dead stop. Then he opened up the throttle all the way until 4th gear & on a [Suzuki Hayabusa], thats 220km/h!

It was not advisable to engage in such a stunt if there was to be any hope of the Monday meets continuing as the police are likely to respond even more (not to mention the danger of reaching that speed on a service road (or anywhere in public for that matter).

The best piece of advice we can give enthusiasts is drive safely and modify your vehicle legally.
