starter motor

after examining my car for a few hours ( i work slowly)

i have narrowed down my problem to a bad starter motor
or maybe a clutch interlock switch but i will take that out of the equation after work today


my question is: has anyone here changed their starter motor on an s14 ka24de and if so, how hard was it to get off and anything i have to watch out for?

if you want my friend has done a few too many of them and will do it for 40$

turns out that my girlfriends dad has offered to do it for me, he is a mechanic!


now i dont have to wait for my dad to get back from south carolina!!

my impatience got the best of me


i bought the starter and went outside and installed it, took me about an hour, it was hard to get the upper bolt out


im so happy, my car works again:bigup:

STEVE!!! GOD DAMNIT! I WANNA SEE!!!! My car's in the damn shop getting repaired... I hope it's alright I miss it...at least yours was sitting there where you could see it. I feel like mine's in the hospital and i hope it comes out alright.

well congrats, now you gotta let me help out and fix up your car!

ill be at work on friday (4-9) and all weekend
