As it stands. It's a minority goverment. So libs and conservatives HAVE to get either the block or NDP on their side to pass legislation. The entire point of the block is to give quebecers a say on federal matters. We are the only province who can say that have a political party that genuinely cares about them. Sure, the conservatives can claim they care about Eastern Canada. But they still have to represent the interest of all canadians at parliament. Same goes for the liberals with Trudeau crying on national TV trying to get everyone to be on his side all the time.
The block is the only party who's focus is on making sure that whatever new legislation passes is in favor of quebec.
Personally iv always preferred minority governments, yes its slower to get shit done, but that's a good thing. Because everyone has a say. Can you imagine if our system was like the US? Where one party gets to do whatever it wants for 4 Years? It would end up with each parliament undoing the last one's fuck up.
