most drift faves are overpriced and it's hard to find anything for a decent price in decent condition/enough power stock. If your heavy into drifting there are cheap rusted out shells up the ass that can be patched up and set up. but since your new to it and wanna try it out, I'd suggest going for something that wont be a complete loss if you find you don't like drifting. You don't wanna drop 5g's on a drift slut spec car unless your gonna use it like a drift slut.
your also gonna want to start with something as close to stock as possible so you don't waste money and time swapping engine and tuning for something you've never done before.
Manual SN95 4.6 mustangs are your best bet. cheap, plentiful, adequate power. add some sway bars and you'll be ready to start drifting. Best place to start is napi on a regular night when nobody is drifting, or ICAR where you have alot of space to spinout and it's impossible to hit the wall.
This is coming from a GM guy.... cause F body chassis are too weak for drifting abuse
