Nice to see a new track getting built out west. There is no good place to go lapping, this will be a great addition for BC and Alberta.

30 to 45k to join is not for the average Joe.

Hopefully it will be possible to access the facility as an average Joe.

Calgary is also trying to secure a deal for a track however they are having development issues and that project is at a standstill.

Really cool project, however I don't get why they removed all the trees ? For example, Calabogie, while being a Mickey Mouse track, is really nice because they kept the trees.

I would totally pay 30 000$ with 4 000$/year fees. Better than being a member of a stupid ass golf course. You get to enjoy & talk cars with friends.

I find it strange that they called it "Area 27".

27 is famous for being Gilles' number, no?

Nice. One more reason to find a business/career opportunity to move out West.

Will Albertans bring their pickup trucks to the track?

Damn... Dat Okanagan lifestyle!!

I'd be surprised if they let non-members access the track, especially since they charge guests of members $100 to go. You never know though...it would be awesome. There's definitely no shortage of rich people with fast cars in the area so I doubt they'll have trouble finding members.

A lot of really nice track ready cars on the road here in Alberta.Porsches, R8s, Ferraris, amgs, m's are very common compared to other places I've been . The question is how many of those folks are show and how many wanna track them.

There is also a large Corvette club that I know travels a lot and large bmw club that travel around for lapping days.

Where that track is its pretty much desert. Very dry climate. I have driven through there in the winter , passed Hope bc -30 got to Oliver, osoyoos area + 5 drove passed it back to - 30. It's a micro climate area. Very dry, there are rattlesnakes and shit there too. So trees are far and few between due to forest fires and such.

They will have to let clubs etc have days. Montecello found that out real quick as clubs are a massive revenue stream

COTA in Austin have actually lowered their daily rate..
