Okay soo im going to make this short and not mention any names because i dont think that is the right thing to do at this moment just yet.
I bought a engine from a known garage in montreal. The employee of this garage assured me everything is fine and it a drop in with no problems. I asked many questions about the engine, made a offer and picked it up. A week later the car is running.
Anyways long story short ive been having problems with low coolant on the engine and confirmed today that the head gasket is the problem.
Is there anything i can do to get compensation or something like that from the employee of the shop that sold me the engine? The only paper i have is a contract saying that they sold me the engine(no conditions mentioned)
I tried contacting the seller but he told me that he could only try to diagnose the problem and tell me whats wrong(which i already know) he told me that he doesn't want to warranty anything or help me anyways afterwards.
Is there anything i can do? I know the post isn't very specific but i don't want to give the place a bad name at the moment as i believe that isn't the right thing to do right now since ive been there a couple times before and didn't have issues.
He is supposed to get back to me with a day i can stop by for them to confirm the issue..but if he isnt going to help me somehow afterwards im getting it done somewhere else.
Ive only driven the engine for a couple days and its not like i was driving it for a long time before this happened. I mentioned the low coolant problem as soon as i started driving it as well..so its not like i damaged it myself either since i spoke to him about it as soon as it was being driven.
