So I went to the car show today and inspired by our friend who made a PAF thread not too long ago, I decided we should also have an Anti-PAF thread. So what's your top 10 cars available on the Canadian market for 2013 that when you climbed aboard your 1st thought was "Damn this sucks!"
I won't put up pics cuz I'm lazy but here's my top 10 this year:
1. Nissan Versa Sedan - Took the crown last year and still has it. This thing is so horrible, every time I see a non F-plated one on the street I'm wonder how is it possible that someone actually bought such a POS...makes no sense. This is made for 3rd world countries and it shows. It should also cost below 10K just like it probably does in those markets.
2. Mitsubishi I-Miev - wow, wow, wow.....and not in a good way. No wonder Mitsubishi is going down the drain with such masterpieces selling for 30k.
3. Smart - Before the arrival of the Versa Sedan last year this was the champ.
4. Scion Xd - Horrific. Low quality and butt ugly on top of it.
5. Toyota Corolla (base) - oh dear God this thing needs to be overhauled badly. Oddly enough, in LE trim with the optitron gauges and auto climate control it's pretty decent.
6. Jeep Patriot/Compass - These 2 cars were left behind while Chrysler changed pretty much everything else for much better. They look and feel so Caliber-y (and this is not a compliment), it's sad.
7. VW Jetta Trendline & Trendline+ - a returning favorite, unlike Honda that took in the complaints and changed the Civic for the better, VW chose to keep their crappy base models the same and just give them away for 169$/month + tx.
8. Mitsubishi Lancer - this car is just too old, like the Corolla, it needs an overhaul which is probably coming soon.
9. Mazda 2 - I don;t think any explanations are required given its price. But why can Kia and Hyundai offer decent interiors at this price point and Mazda can't? Hell, even the Yaris is decent now.
10.. Suzuki SX4 (base)- This was not too bad when it came out and it's still decent in higher trims but compared to most new subcompacts, it really fell behind.
Special mentions:
WRX/STI - Yes they suck given we're in 2013 and they cost 30-45K. But everyone knows this already.
Camry - Worst interior in its class. I see what all the reviewers are talking about. But it's still simple and well thought out but compared to the new Fusion, new Accord and even new Altima, they are way behind.
