Spent nearly $1,600 today, got full tune up, during which found that my ol' Ksyrium SLs hub was kind of fucked, can't get parts, serviced the hub so it's rideable but it'll never be perfect, there always would have been a tiny amount of play in the cassette... so I bought a slightly used set of RS81 Shimano wheels and put new rubber on em, now everything is perfffect. Also picked up a Thule bike carrier... so yeah expensive day... gonna drop another G on power meter, shoes and a helmet in a few weeks...

Ok I'm heading out, full winter gear, cold weather bibs, jacket, shoe covers, full gloves, etc etc... I know I won't last 40K unless I'm comfy, just hope I don't sweat too much

First outdoor ride done, reasonably happy with the fitness carried over the Winter but need to lose a few.

Rode these for the first time since getting them as part of an Assos customer service resolution last year: https://www.assos.com/ca/mille-gt-winter-bib-tights-20583.html

They are excellent, would definitely recommend, perfectly comfortable today, felt great not being cold. I'd say anything up to 10 degrees C with wind or 8 without these bibs are great... in terms of how cold I'd go I'd bet you'd be ok down to around freezing. So much better than trying to make it work with leg warmers or whatever.

Mekes me want to bib long bibs, kinda hate wearing leg warmers, not matchy matchy

They're a luxury for very early and very late season riding but man I'm sold. Being comfortable with not much extra bulk is real nice.
It's hard to get out there with any reasonable amount of daylight in like mid November after work so fancy warm bibs aren't a big game changer then, but in the Spring, when you're particularly horny for a ride and there's daylight until 8pm it's nice to have the option to go out there and be comfortable at 5 celcius.
