Design, aérodynamique, motorisation et châssis balayent les dernières interrogations : la nouvelle Civic Type R a bien été développée et peaufinée sur la piste.

Moteur i-VTEC turbo de 2.0 litres faisant 306 hp et 295 lb.-ft. de couple

Traction avant

Système amortisseur adaptatif (ADS) contrôle la suspension pour une plus grande stabilité sur la route ou la piste

Un différentiel à glissement limité (limited slip differential)

Un kit aérodynamique massif qui comprend des séparateurs avant et latéraux, un diffuseur arrière, des générateurs à vortex et une aile

Un système d’échappement à sortie centrale

Jantes en alliage noir de 20 pouces et calipers rouge

Des concessionnaires autour de Montréal mentionnent que la voiture ira pour environ 46.000 $ qui le rendant plus cher que la Volkswagen Golf R de $40K mais moins cher que la Ford Focus RS de $50K.
