JDM importer Osaka has managed to import two R34 Skylines to their shop in Montreal – one white and one silver. Unfortunately for Quebec residents, the vehicles cannot be plated in the province. Osaka is hoping to find a buyer in Ontario or elsewhere. Price: $31,000.
In 2009 Former Quebec transport minister Julie Boulet infuriated enthusiasts after approving a proposed ban on the importation of right-hand drive vehicles, citing a 30% increase in the risk of an accident. Vehicles that are 25 years and older were not affected the ruling.
The Nissan Skyline GTR was produced from 1969-1973 and again from 1989-2002 and was the flagship of Nissan performance. R32 (third generation) models were produced from 1989-1994. R33 (fourth generation) were produced from 1995-1998 and the coveted R34 seen here was a fifth generation and produced from 1999-2001. Eventually Nissan replaced it with a new model called simply the GT-R in 2008.
