Chevrolet has released the first performance figures for the 2015 Corvette Z06 and they are nothing short of astounding.
The supercharged 6.2-litre LT4 engine delivers 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque which is good for a 0-100km/h time of 2.95 seconds! The car will do the quarter mile in 10.95 @ 127MPH!
The 2015 Z06 won’t just be quick in a straight line either. It beat the old ZR1’s time around GM’s Milford Road Course by more than a second and with the optional ceramic brakes it will go from 100km/h to zero in just 99.6 feet.
The best part is the starting price: $78,995 USD (likely much more in Canada). For similar performance you’d have to purchase exotic vehicles at double or even triple the price.
Deliveries begin in the second quarter of 2015.
