Here are top ten highlights from the 2014 SEMA Show in no particular order.
1. Mugen Acura Integra in the Hondata booth
This stunning show car was just immaculate. I’ve never seen a nicer Integra.
2. Pontiac G8 ST “El Camino”.
This was a concept car Pontiac showed at the 2008 New York Auto Show. It was cancelled due to budget cuts and GM’s restructuring. Somehow, there are two on display outside.
3. BMW 3-Series Wagon on bags with a trailer.
This bagged F31 3-Series on HRE wheels was pulling a trailer (also fitted with HRE wheels) and a BMW motorcycle.
4. Liberty Walk vehicles
The amount of vehicles equipped with Liberty Walk body kits was impressive. They are distinguished by aggressive flared and riveted fenders.
5. Lightbar
LED light bars are just so cool. The stylish and functional lights can turn day into night for offroading pleasure & safety.
6. Modified 2015 F-150s
The 2015 Ford F-150 hasn’t even begun production yet but somehow companies managed to get their hands on them and even modify them for SEMA.
7. Custom vehicles
Check out this stretched Ford F350 with an extra set of doors or this six-wheeled Jeep Wrangler pickup truck. Very impressive.
8. Bentley Race Car at Pirelli
Bentleys are known to be the epitome of luxury. You don’t often see one stripped down for racing. Pirelli had this (and of course a stock one) in their booth.
9. Ferrari 458 and Lamborghini Huracan at Toyo
I loved this gold-wheeled matching duo of supercars. Very classy.
10.Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupes
This is brand new model just released by Mercedes-Benz and three were present at the show.
11. Continental Tires booth
From the Lingenfelter classic Vette to the El Camino to the massive flat black rig, this booth was one of the most impressive at the show.
12. Dodge Charger Hellcat
The new fastest production sedan in the world with a 1/4 miles time of 11.0 seconds. I didn’t expect to see one in person so soon.
13. Nitto Tires chrome Acura NSX
The blue chome Acura NSX racecar in the Nitto Tires booth was a sight for sore eyes.
14. Toyota FT-1 Concept
This is basically what Toyota plans to do with the next Supra and it’s gorgeous.
15. Dynacorn Classic Bodies
Can’t find a suitable classic car to start your restoration project? No problem. Just buy a brand new body made from real steal from a company called Dynacorn. Just about all the popular classic models are available.
16. 1969 Camaro
This fully restored 1969 Camaro was impeccable both inside and out with a modern-looking interior.
17. Lexus RCF
There were several new Lexus RCF coupes on display and even a concept GT3 race version.
18. This Jeep
This Jeep speaks for itself. The mean-looking devilish front end and massive tires are amazing.
19. 1968 Dodge Charger
A fully restored Charger with carbon fiber fenders and black paint glistening under the light.
20.The Riddler Award Winner
This custom car is the winner of the Ridler award. It’s a 1964 Buick Riviera created by J.F. Launier.
