Ça vaudrait peut-être la peine avec un char bien ordinaire usagé d'une couple d'années, mais pas avec un gros char de 500hp que tu loues à un tit-coune
 
Je me vois tellement pas passé mon S4. Je laisse même pas ma blonde la conduire. J'imagine très mal un inconnu partir avec ma voiture pour faire quelque piasse.
 
Je me demande comment ça marche pour les photo-radar ? si tu reçois un ticket par la poste, le "locataire" décide de pas payer...
Sinon qq1 qui conduit en malade mental et/ou qui deal de la drogue avec ton auto, après t'es suivi partout...

Faudrait s'assurer de bien filtrer avant de louer..

I have a parking spot on Crescent street and considered doing it with my Genesis during the peak summer season, then I realized I was neither of the above... fuck it.

If my car was a rental and a model that does not entice "beating", I would consider.

Also, you can install yourself a gizmo to track the were about & G-force applied. If the system allows people to rate the clients, weed out the retards, it's got potential.

We can't have the number of cars per capita keep climbing like it does now, especially in the city, it needs to come back down and service like that help just that.

Honnêtement, je crois que 95% du monde qui louerait mon éventuel char roulerait plus molo que moi, donc si la couverture d'assurance est bonne, why not. Exemple une Yaris 2006 boîte automatique à 3000$, y'a personne qui va vraiment s'exciter avec ça, et je roule pied dans la panne en pognant les nids de poule anyways.
 
Turo explique bien ce qui se passe si le locataire pogne une contravention, même une par la poste. Essentiellement, Turo va facturer directement une contravention sauf pour une par photo radar où on doit faire une déclaration qu'on était pas le conducteur (donc important de faire une photocopie du permis de conduire du locataire).

C'est certain que si tu te lèves pendant la nuit pour admirer ta voiture, Turo n'est pas pour toi hehe. Dans mon cas c'était un no brainer. J'avais une voiture payée qui ne servait à rien. Plutôt que de la retourner au dealer d'avance, aussi bien faire un peu d'argent avec.
 
if my car was leased, and i still had a lot of mileage left, i'd consider Turo. Paying the lease, when i'm out travelling or not using it could be good money

but if you're the car owner, you get screwed with everything that happens to it and it'll lose value.
 
Ça doit aussi dépendre des saisons. En basse saison, un char chez discount c'est 30$/jour km illimité. À ce prix là c'est pas trop la peine.

Me semble que je suis bien content de payer mon bill hydro (moins cher que des énergies renouvelables décentralisées) et me soucier de rien.

Je vois plus l'économie du partage comme une solution transitoire entre le mode de vie où on possède nos biens vers un mode de vie dépossédé, que comme une fin en soit. Éventuellement, il y aura une grosse flotte de 100k véhicules pour la ville imo, on va payer notre facture de voiture à Bell, Transport-Québec, Google ou Amazon.
 
I'm not sure how this makes a lot of sense on both ends...

As a rentee:
- I can go to a rental company and rent a sports car for 120ish daily, cheaper and newer than turo listings. (obviously smaller selection.)
- I don't feel bad beating a rental. I feel bad beating on someone's personal car.
- On average, a midsize rental costs 28$ a day.
- If anything goes wrong, I call and have a different car delivered and nothing is my problem.
- If I curb all 4 wheels and get door dinged, none of that is my problem.

As a renter, assuming car isn't a shitbox:
- They curb the wheels, it's a problem.
- They get door dinged, it's a problem.
- They take my car to the track and finish my tires or brakes, that's a problem.
- They take my car to a parking lot and criss le handbrake, that's a problem.
- All the above issues cost more than what I make in return.
 
Your "sports car" for 120/day at a rental company is Mustang V6 AT though, not a RS4.

and look at the average communauto hipster or plateau lady driver. These people don't bring your car to the track or pull the handbrake in a parking lot just for fun.

You can get up to 135i, which is not that bad. obviously not as good as some of these cars.

yes. but the average communauto hipster or plateau lady driver won't drop 200/day on a car. most people who choose to drop 200/day on an RS4 are going to beat the life out of it.
