I work on the road and do highway 80% of the time...
sometimes you have to press that button called CHILLAX (and believe me I sometimes catch myself getting frustrated as well but then remember that button) and move over to the right and let the idiot pass
I've seen it with my own eyes, shitboxes or big ass pickup trucks being held up.... by a smart ass like you (and dont get me wrong I was like you when I was 18-23) and the chances of an accident/fight/rage is SO high, that your life and 2 seconds to move over simply isnt worth it....

To the people that slow down or slam on the brakes "to teach a lesson" Ever think the person may be a specialist going to save a family member? Why do people have to do such an act? You DON'T own the fucking highway. Driving is a priviledge and not a necessity. There are rules of the road for a reason. If people would follow them to a T, there would be less road rage, less accidents etc.

So you're confirming it's ok to pass at 110km/h in the left lane. Just because somebody behind you wants to speed doesn't mean you have to drive at their rate.
Get a helicopter. You won't need to worry about lanes.

You should be careful of threats like that. You'd be surprised when the guy you brake check rams you, then proceeds to approach you with some sort of weapon.

Left Lane in a 3 or 2 lane highway is a passing lane, except when heavy traffic. Whoever stays there when they had multiple chances to move over to the next lane on the right is a douche.
On Sunday night coming back from Ottawa, there were these two idiots (that didn't know each other) that were following each other for well over 30 kms on the left lane of a 2 lane highway going 125 km/h. Never even thought of moving to the right lane that was completely clear all the time. They were like Zombies. At least at that speed they weren't pissing off many other drivers. But go try to drive like that in Germany...
Also the middle lane on a three lane highway isn't yours either... mirrors should still be constantly checked since big rigs and 5Ton trucks can't overtake you on the left lane.

Furthermore, it should be noted that most of the time, all three lanes are going at ~5km/h of the same speed so tailgating/weaving in and out of traffic and of course brake checking people (Miscer = douchebag ... we now have dashcams that would show you performing an ILLEGAL brake check and not only would your insurance not pay your bill if the guy behind you hits you, but you'd likely also wind up with a nice SQ/SPVM ticket to top it all off.)
Essentially:
When the highway is clear and you want to drive mach 2 in whatever lane suits your fancy = fine with me although don't get caught because you will get more punishment than the average pedophile here in Quebec. Fines, jail time, impounding of your car, etc.
However when there's traffic like at any given rush hour or whenever there are people in all three lanes, it's better not to act/drive like a tool because people now have dashcams and you'll wind up the laughingstock of YouTube (for 15 minutes) and your insurance company, LE, etc.
Seriously. People who think they're ENTITLED should check their car's roofs for these:
Do you have these ^ on your car? Yes? OK: proceed to slice through traffic as they will be forced to move over.
Oh wait, you don't have those? Sorry fucker... you'll have to deal with traffic LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.

I see this at least 3-4 times a day. Car in middle lane doing 90km/hr and the truck would like to pass, but the idiot stays in the middle lane. Truck gives up and passes idiot on the right!

100% true. Seen it all over, even in the US where there are posted signs that say left lane to pass only, slow traffic keep right, etc.

Si moi je dépasse quelques voitures à 115 km/h et que l'autre en arrière roule 125 km/h, je vais me tasser lorsque la voie de centre sera libre. Inutile de me coller dans le cul pendant 30 sec pour que je me déplace à droite.
Je pense que c'est plutôt ça que Headbanger veut dire. Si je suis en mode "dépassement", attends calmement en arrière de moi pour me laisser le temps de virer. Si tu me vois en train de "cruiser" sur la voie de gauche, là tu peux me faire des signaux ou me coller légèrement.
Si le gars est en train de dépasser = CHILL, il devrait en principe se coller lorsqu'il y aura de la place.
Si le gars fait du cruising sur la gauche = fait lui comprendre de se tasser.

C'est sur qu'un moron qui depasse a 104km/h le gars qui roule a 103km/h au centre pendant 10 minutes ca demeure un moron mais encore la CA DEPEND DU TRAFFIC. Si en avant du moron 104 il y a un autre moron 104 et un autre et un autre ben ca donne rien de s'exciter...attends comme les autres derriere.

Exactly. It's happened when I've been cruising along at about 108 passing and somebody slowly approached, I've downshifted to 4th, gone about 125-130 to pass a line, then merged into the center.
Never would I do this for somebody who swerves into the lane and is riding my ass.

Its not all the 13 000km of the Autobahn, but the areas without speed limits, if a driver hugs the left lane and doesnt let faster drivers pass, its an 800 Euro fine.

oui et non , je vais pas monter a 125-130 et risquer de pogner un ticket alors que l'autre a rien....moi je monte a 112-115 maximum (il attendra un peu)......je vais pas risquer un ticket de 200-300$ pour un nobody en arrière de moi
