Formula 1 Official thread

Here is the thing. If one team sells 100% of interests it will set a precedent of what they are actually worth now. Claire recently did an interview where she said she should have held out for another year or so…

Andretti wants to be 100% US based and moving the factory from Enstone to USA might be complex legally and could also be blocked by UK/French Governments. Its a large reason why Sauber has remained in Hinwell. Swiss Labour laws being a big part of it.

Haas is actually on an upswing and r/formula1 keeps thinking they should be forced into selling. Gene knows what he has. No low ballers but he doesnt seem interested to sell.

Andretti is just the figurehead leading the bid. The group has financing from Gainsbridge and some entertainment company. As I said if it were another person/group with strong manufacturer backing they would be in. The entire Andretti plan is sorta bullshit

Aucune raison valable pour Gene a vendre, meme s'ils restent en arrière.
His F1 exercise blew up HAAS VF1/VF2/ST10 sales all across Europe and Asia so much, he could finance this operation over another 20-30 times lol.

Exactly there is no reason for him to sell. Its always been a marketing tool for him to sell tools. The team is extremely lean, doesnt cost much to run and is able to score a decent amount of points. Ferrari enjoys the partnership. Steiner overstayed his welcome and im glad hes gone

While I do agree that F1 needs new characters, sitting there thinking andretti will show up and win is hilarious. Stroll bought a decent team and pumped bunch of cash into it yet has only seen minor success. We will see what the Honda partnership brings, the big flex with a new campus was to attract a manufacturer

Haas on the side of Nascar is mostly Tony Stewart having gotten bored with Nascar and calling it a day. Time to cash in the charters. I was reading something about that as well with how it will set the market for charters

Wheatley out of RBR to Audi

I feel worse and worse for Sainz every day
Dude must be eating his elbows

The only thing that’s doing it for me at Williams is American money, let’s see if that makes a difference

Williams needs investment on the facilities side. They have not seen a major improvement since the BMW days. Many things are just old and tired. However the “old boys” have been mostly flushed out but attracting young fresh talent is hard as Aston pays more… Im not even sure Williams as a company owns their buildings anymore, they might have been sold and leased back

I am just waiting for that team to be sold. Apparently Alpine is going to be sold also. 2 teams who seemed to be trending in the right direction but just ended up tanking. It'll be interesting who is going to come up and claim these teams. Alpine CEO can say they are not for sale but everything points to the opposite

One will go to a Chinese firm 100%

Williams and Dorilton don’t appear to be headed for a sale. Alpine has been several names but the sign always goes back to Renault

En effet ça serait logique si les chinois ne veulent pas perdre leur exposure avec Zhou car il a théoriquement pu de volant bientôt..

Im just not sure which company would slot in. BYD would make most sense as a branding exercise. SAIC under MG? Geely under Polestar F1 ?

Andretti wants in and they were sorta tied up via Renault. There is that and now with a Mercedes engine would be a strange tie in but possible

I see the BYD money but I dont see how F1 would tie into BYD with their main focus being EV's now, so other than advertising I don't see the appeal.
