NVIDIA Pascal GPU

I would go with some kind of Pascal, it seems to have some architectural improvements vs older chips. Tesselation, HBAO, DOF, etc, don't seem to tax it too much.

At least from what I can see here. For example, I run Max Payne 3 pegged at 144 fps with 80% GPU usage at 7680x1440 (1.33x more pixels than 4K) all maxed out except MSAA. With Kepler it didn't run nearly as well, not even close to maxed out either.

In other games changing most of those graphics settings doesn't have much effect on fps unless it's a very new or very demanding setting such as some sort of special AO or very fancy DOF.

Guys, what are you speculations regarding TITAN X Pascal and GTX 1080 Ti?

Honestly, I'm not sure what to expect. Big Maxwell was a full GM200 Titan X with 12GB for $999 USD and 2.5 months later a cut-down GM200 980 Ti 6GB for $649 USD.

So far big Pascal is a cut-down GP102 with 12GB GDDR5X for $1200 USD, so what's next?

Here's what I think could the next three big Pascal releases.

  1. GTX 1080 Ti: 3328-core GP102, reference and custom boards, 10GB GDDR5X, $799 USD - within 3 months
  2. NVIDIA Titan X Pascal HBM2: 3840-core GP102, reference board only, 16GB HBM2, $1500 USD - within 6 months
  3. GTX 1085 Ti: 3840-core GP102, reference and custom boards, 12GB HBM2, $999 USD - within 9 months

Calcule...
1731-1531/1531= 13% OC
59.9x1.13=67.7fps avec +200MHz en OC---->+7.8FPS

Boost clock du 1080. 1733MHz
Calcule...
1933-1733/1733= 11% OC
44.1x1.11=49FPS~ avec +200MHz en OC---->+4.9FPS

hbm is not happening on pascal, stop making it a thing

gp100 with hmb2 is for entreprise only because hbm2 is not available in large quantity
