Wheel offset for 06 G35 coupe

Hey guys, I just bought 17" winter tires for my G35 coupe, and now i'm looking for mags. I read that 17" mags for this car should be 17x7.5 with about a 33mm offset. I was wondering if I change the offset around will that wear out components of my suspension faster? I found some mags that are 17x7 with a 40mm offset, does this work, or not a good idea?
 
Avec 40 de offset, check pour etre certain que les roues ne frotteront pas sur tes calipers..ca doit etre proche..
t-k avec du Brembo c'est certain que ca ne passe pas...
et non ca n'usera pas ta suspension plus vite

The guy i'm buying the mags from said that he had them on a 2006 G35 so it seems to fit, but I was told that it could wear out the bushings faster or something like that. Not true? i don't have brembos, I think those were made only for 2003 and 2004 models
 
I would get wider rims and the lowest offset you can find to be honestly. I would go as wide as the tires can take, without necessarily stretching them
