Article: Marque Luxieux base model VS Marque moins luxieux full equip?

Entry level luxury brand cars are very well equipped nowadays, even though they rape you once you start adding more options.

I sold my Accord coupe fully equip (except navi) for a base model (modern line) 328d xDrive and I have more options on my base model car than the fully equip Honda.

Obviously they are not in same price range but im just comparing base model vs fully equip here
 
Some of you mention about balling factor, i dunno about you guys but to me balling factor is directly proportional to the price. A guy who drives 60k honda looks for sure wealthier than someone with 40k audi. Judging solely with what he drives of course for this argument sake.
Badge is just nothing but personal taste.

To me, whoever can afford 40k base bmw looks for sure more baller than someone who bought fully loaded honda civic si.

Which one is smarter choice is whole different argument though.

For me, the Audi A4 Quattro (base model) is a quite better deal than the 3 series x drives. It's around 40k$ and comes with 220hp and real leather. For 40k$ at BMW you get a 320xi with 40hp less and leatherette (and no manual tranny available).

What I expect in premium over a normal car: Leather, automatic climate control with an efficient heater even when the engine isn't warm, exceptionnal handling/comfort compromise, good insonorisation, multi adjustment seats, good stereo. That's it.
 
Honnetement la a3 ou a4 de base est probablement le meilleur bang for the buck!! Toit ouvrant, xenon (a4) cuire, etc.
 
Pas pour foutre la merde, mais il faudrait penser à corriger le titre de l'article

yeah but the ''baller factor'' is often for people who don't know about cars and can't say the guy is driving a full equipped car... a friend of mine has the Q50 AWD Sports... which has a MSRP of $48k.... we were talking about the fact that a base model bimmer 320 wasn't as good as his car (IMO) and we were with a group of chicks and they were arguing against us that the 320 was better because its a bimmer.... I facepalmed and keep drinking..... the baller factor often with women is brand name thats it.... which I find stupid.

Is car is pretty much comparable to a 335 not a 320 or a 328

LOL same argument with a group of girls yesterday over m235i vs 320i (basically one girl's argument was the 3 series is better because the number 3 and had red interior on white car) whereas my car is just black on black.. humm... Branding and colors are all that matter to most people. The ones who are smart enough to make valid comparisons are like 5% of the car population

Thing is, a 328 xD is not a base model 3 series. A rwd 320 is. However, I do agree that most luxury cars come pretty well equipped even in base trims but for now, a fully loaded Accord is definitely much better equipped than a base 320.

I think the "balling" factor that some mention (even though I didn't notice it here) refers to brand prestige. There is no doubt that luxury brands have more prestige (regardless of price) and some people do put a certain value on that aspect. Wether people should or not, it's a different discussion.
 
I would totally get a loaded TLX (4 L) before a 320, my friend was one of the first bodykit 19'' and all , very nice car !

If we'Re talking about a LOADED AWD

Where in that case that we looking at 320X AWD loaded and the TLX in the in 43k... in that case , since the V6 is a potatoe... maybe i'D go for the 320Xi
