haha nicee!

I'd mow the hell outta that lawn

Here's a cool bike check vid. This guy's one of my favorite riders, I have a very similar riding style but he's obviously way better. :p

Here's the dh rig I used for last season. Was a good season especially since I only got a type 2 ac separation mid August.

And I just bought a Devinci Frantik 1 for enduro/w.e else i can't do on the dh rig

Pics aren't mine so some parts aren't the same.

Yeah, it kinda sucks how expensive it is. In 2010 I bought a 2007 Brodie Damien for around $1500.
In 2011 I went full retard on a gap, clearly didn't have enough speed so I bailed and fell 10-12 feet.
Got out of that one with a golf ball sized palm and a cracked frame...

One of my buddies had a Big Foot that he was going to give me for cheap. When I asked how cheap, expecting like 500, he says 2k. No thanks lol I'll stick to hardtails. I prefer the feel and weight anyways. Obviously you can't go super balls out but whatever. I miss my Hardrock :( Only thing stock was the frame and seat. Got desperate for cash because I didn't have any work at the time and sold it for $150.

Hardtails are more fun anyway especially around town and whatnot, unless you actually do real downhill riding. But you could ride a DH bike around the city and do huge stair gaps and stuff tho.

There used to be a lot of trails and stuff where I live so I had a lot of fun on my mountain bike a while back. The trails are pretty much gone now but I still have a few dirt jump spots in the forest at least. I'm gonna have to do some work on them this spring tho.

I'd have to say you'll be pretty limited on dh/freeride trails if you go to Bromont on a hardtail, even more so at Mont-St-Anne.

I've done Mont-St-Anne on a hardtail way back in 2006 and it was hell. Bromonts "easiest" dh/fr tracks will make you bounce
everywhere at the top at proper speed and then it'll smooth out about halfway through the track.

There are some really good technical trails at tremblant for those that like XC. from super easy to "Do i really want to run a 5k bike down this".

Voila mon bike, Giant Glory DH

oh shit this thread is still going? Where would you guys recommend I go this season? I wanna start riding again, I haven't biked since I got my permit at 16. I'm out of shape as fuck, gonna start off real noob as fuck mode. Supposedly gonna ride around mtl and Bromont with some mawfugs.

Since it's been so long and 99.926% of my life is cars, I did the right thing and spent the least amount of money as possible buying a CT hardtail with the shittiest welds on the planet. Don't care about shit breaking. I also have a Kona Scrap frame lying around that I might invest in if I really get into it.
