MontrealRacing.com legacy member raf_speed rented a Tesla Model S from a company called EEKO rentals for a family road trip and has reported back to us on how it went.
His daily driver is currently an Audi S4 and his main concern was that the Tesla might leave him wanting more power. After driving the luxury all-electric vehicle he was not disappointed at all. After all, the Model S is known for its ridiculously fast acceleration.
The Tesla Model S is actually perfect for a family road trip and can seat seven! Yes, seven. In the trunk, there are two rear-facing child seats and a father like me can really appreciate that Tesla thought of this.
Raf drove over 500 kilometres in a day, even having to refuse gas which the worker at the station offered when he bought a carwash. He plugged in the vehicle at the hotel and was ready to go the next morning.
At $435 per day the rental is definitely not cheap but for a road trip of any decent length, you are saving quite a bit on gas.
