Repentigny resident Dominic Dubreuil has spent the last few months realizing his dream: to build an exact replica of the famous Eclipse driven by the late Paul Walker as Brian O’Connor in the original The Fast & The Furious movie.
Dominic is the owner of the website OctaneFix.com and organizer of the Paul Walker Memorial Ride. He also organizes the Fast & Furious themed event Race Wars which is happening tomorrow at Circuit ICAR where the official unveiling will be taking place.
The 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS was acquired on April 24, 2015 from David Marois in Québec. Afterwards, the grueling part of finding all the correct parts to mod it with started. From the Axis Se7en mags to the Robo Car Armour body kit to the APR wing, all had to be acquired. The lime green paint is actually a special (and expensive) Lamborghini pearl but no detail was to be left out. Here is a full list of the mods:

In order for the job to be completed in time for Race Wars, Dom chose Dynamique Auto. Dymanique is a full service performance center which meant all the mods and all the body work could be done by them so as to avoid trailering the car around to multiple shops over the course of the build.
Modern Image, the company who provided the graphics on the original movie car got wind of Dom’s project and offered to send him exact copies of the lettering to which he greatly accepted. The stickers came with a scale replica of the Eclipse to aid in the installation. Eurolite and APR also provided parts for the project directly.
Dom says it’s been a stressful three months but the car is now complete and ready to be unveiled at tomorrow’s Race Wars. We’ll update this post with new photos after we see it! For now, check out some of the build photos.
