Any bikers here? (speed bikes)

Yeah kinda pisses me off too lol but you gotta pay to play I guess

Thoughts on an s83 boulevard? 1400cc
10 000kms

ABS is a good thing, a very good thing.

Water cooled engine barely require more maintenance (never really maintained anything on my 4 water cooled bike), are nearly always much more powerful then air cooled engine, do not overheat in traffic and cause no discomfort of feeling like you are sitting on a toaster oven.

Belt/chain/drive shaft. Chain transfers power power more efficiently and is easily serviceable anywhere you are. I definitely would not make this a criteria though.

Injection VS carb? Injection everyday all day.

Sounds like its time for a MR bike meet.

BTW, I love coaching new drivers, hut me up if you want to review any of your practical exams.

I need to do my open road exam by the end of summer, did receive an E-mail from technic for a short exam training... wonder if its a good thing to do...

I did almost 3500km since my close course exam...

Cest and as vraiment une question d’argent

I want to go for a specific look/comfort/reliable combo

I think it’s too big and not the style I’m after at all
Did you had a look at the Honda Rebel 1100? pretty much what you are looking for and its honda reliability...

Oh shit
I didn’t know they were doing more than 500cc

Thank you

The only thing I don’t like about it is the digital dash but I guess that’s upgradeable

Lool for a factory made chopper....I agree! It's just a beauty! The only complaint it seems to have is that the 1300 lacks power! But it more then makes up for it with looks

I actually dig the whole carb idea, analog everything etc.
I know it could be a pain in the cold, but how much "in the cold" riding do we do anyways.

I'm eyeing an S83, because classic, compact and not HUGE fork angle, but also it's a 1400.

For fork angle I dislike this stuff for example:

I'm not too worried about "too much power for beginner", I'm not stupid. But I really don't feel like looking for more power in 1 year...

I really like the look of this for example, which is basically an S83, but rather an older 1400 Intruder:
