Nous avons récemment contacté Matt afin de savoir ce qui était advenu des procédures judiciaires qu’il avait prévu entamer auprès de la ville. Matt nous a confié que la ville de Kirkland n’a assumé aucune responsabilité dans l’affaire parce que la bretelle d’autoroute où l’accident s’est déroulé est sous l’autorité de Transport Québec. Finalement, la personne responsable de traiter la plainte chez Transport Québec était en congé de maternité et aucun contact de remplacement n’a été fourni à Matt.
La compagnie d’assurance de Matt, Intact Assurance, a offert un dédommagement acceptable à celui-ci, il a donc accepté l’offre et fermé les livres. Intact a mentionné qu’ils allaient étudier la possibilité de s’adresser à Transport Québec afin d’obtenir un remboursement.

We reached out to Matt to find out what ever happened to the legal action he was planning against the city. Matt said that the city of Kirkland brushed it off as if they had no responsibility in the matter as the exit is under Transport Quebec’s jurisdiction. The woman who he needed to deal with from transport Quebec was on maternity leave and no alternative contact was provided.
Matt’s insurance company Intact was able to give him a decent offer on the vehicle so he took it and forgot about it. They told him they’d deal with Transport Quebec to try to get some sort of reimbursement if applicable.[:]
